What do I need to do in order to apply for free or reduced lunches?
The Food Service Program is a self-sustaining program that requires all users to have a positive balance in their accounts. Somerset School District participates in the National School Lunch Program that provides nutritionally balanced lunches to children each school day.
Applications for free and reduced meals are available prior to the start of each school year. The National School Lunch Program requires families to apply for assistance on an annual basis. Students eligible for free or reduced meals could incur charges for their portion of reduced priced meals or ala carte items such as additional milk or an extra entree.
